Excited?… nah, I’m too jaded to be excited by much. Too many years being a Clippers fan, I guess.
I was interested in “Frankie and Alice” from what I’d read about the story, and how hard it was to get made, and I also wanted to support a sista’s passion project.
The film itself was a good effort - didn’t blow me away but had a lot of nice moments. And it was cool to hear Halle talk about it afterwards. I hope it does well because we need more films like “Frankie and Alice” out there, stories that work outside the Hollywood cookie-cutter factory.
